£1.5m investment at Temple Quarry

Whitemountain has invested over £1.5m to replace and relocate the primary crushing plant at Temple Quarry. The works consisted of refurbishment and modification of an existing dump chute, construction of a 12m high Gabion retaining wall and installation of a new Feeder and Metso C130 Jaw crusher, with remote control workstation.

The majority of the works were carried out off-line, allowing production to continue during construction, before final linking to the secondary plant. The project was completed with the arrival of a new Komatsu HD465 rigid dump truck to match the new primary plant’s production demand.

These upgrades will ensure continued quality, increased production outputs and improved plant reliability at Temple Quarry.
