Breedon is permitted by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency to accept inert waste from construction, excavation and civil engineering projects around Greater Belfast.

Breedon operates two inert landfill sites in Northern Ireland.

The sites at Blackmountain and Macosquin Quarries are permitted by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and have the capacity to accept a combined 1.4 million tonnes of inert waste per annum.

Our onsite management teams and weighbridge software provide customers with the reassurance that their waste is being disposed of in accordance with the Controlled Waste Duty of Care Regulations (Northern Ireland).

As part of our company wide proactive approach to sustainability and the circular economy we can provide customers with the option to recycle various inert waste streams at both inert landfill facilities and our Temple and Cam Quarries.
