Skeoge Link Road, L’derry

New link road for North Western Key Transport Corridor.

Skeoge Link dual carriageway is part of the North Western Key Transport Corridor connecting Belfast to Londonderry and on to Donegal.

  • The construction of this project:
  • completed the strategic route from Foyle Bridge through to Buncrana Road and on to Donegal removed strategic traffic which previously travelled through the mainly residential Glengalliagh Road, and
  • unlocked further housing and industrial development in the area

The project involved the construction of 2.3km of new road to dual carriageway standard, 2Nr 58m diameter roundabouts including new tie-ins to the existing Upper Galliagh Rd and Lenamore Rd, 4.0m wide combined footway / cycleway and 60m long reinforced concrete Skeoge River culvert 6m wide x 3m high internally.

Temporary traffic management and phasing at the key tie-ins – A2 Skeoge Roundabout, A515 Ballyarnett Roundabout, Upper Galliagh Rd and Lenamore Rd. All Temporary traffic management design, installation, checking and dismantling was undertaken by our in-house Sector Scheme accredited TSCO and Traffic Management Operatives
